Spencer Brown
Chief Executive Officer, Gemini XIII
Spencer Brown is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industries’ home for premium audio content, production and marketing services. Prior to forming Gemini, Mr. Brown founded Cadence13 (www.Cadence13.com) a leading creator, distributor and marketer of podcasts and digital audio products. Headquartered in New York and Los Angeles, the company was sold to Audacy Inc. in the fall of 2019.
Prior to founding Cadence, Mr. Brown was the Chief Executive Officer of Dial Global (currently operating as Westwood One) where he was responsible for developing and executing the corporate strategy that resulted in Dial Global (NASDAQ:DIAL) becoming the nation’s largest independent creator and distributor of national broadcast radio programming through its merger with Westwood One. During his tenure the company held the broadcast rights to the National Football League, the NCAA Basketball Tournament, the CBS Radio Network, NBC Sports Radio, and was the radio home of the Grammys, The Masters and the Olympics. In addition, its 24/7 Format business programmed over 1,500 radio stations throughout the United States and provided sales representation for a number of leading radio services and programs. As CEO From 2003 through 2012, revenue increased from $25 million to over $360 million, EBITDA increased over tenfold and employee headcount increased from 40 to over 500 full time equivalents in over 10 locations across the United States
Mr. Brown holds a BA from the University of Michigan, a JD from Boston University School of Law and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He resides in Westport, CT with his wife and two children.
Charles Steinhauer
Chief Operating Officer, Gemini XIII
Charles Steinhauer is Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industries’ home for premium audio content, production and marketing services.
Steinhauer was former Chief Operating Officer of Westwood One, the largest audio network in America, where he had full oversight of the day-to-day operations of the company. Steinhauer was responsible for managing programming, technology, distribution, sports, affiliate services, research, compliance, and strategy.
Prior to that, he was President, Operations, for Westwood One and Dial Global, Inc. where he managed all operations departments for the company. He was an integral part of the management team which acquired and integrated the following networks: Global Media, Dial Communications, MJI Interactive, Waitt Radio Networks, Jones MediaAmerica, Westwood One and Cumulus Media Networks.
In 2005, while working as the company’s Senior Vice President of Operations, Steinhauer was instrumental in launching Dial Global’s first RADAR rated network, the first by an independent network firm.
Steinhauer began his career as an Account Executive with Venture Direct Worldwide, a business-to-business direct marketing firm. In 1997, he took a position as a research analyst at Winstar Global Media, which eventually merged with Dial Communications to form Dial Global.
In addition to his role at Westwood One, Steinhauer has served as a Director on the Board of the Media Ratings Council, Chair of the Network Radio Research Council (NRRC), Founder and Chair of the Network Radio Compliance Council, Advertising Research Foundation Ambassador, member of the Radio Advertising Bureau Council, and Nielsen Advisory Board.
Chris Long
Chief Revenue Officer, Gemini XIII
Chris Long is the Chief Revenue Officer of Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industries home for premium audio content, production and marketing services. Prior to joining Gemini XIII, Mr. Long was Regional Vice President Sales for Pandora then SXM Media from 2013-2023. He was part of a team that lead the development and massive revenue growth of the Streaming Audio marketplace working with both National and Regional brands. In that role Mr. Long was responsible for creating and leading sales teams across the country primarily in Dallas, Austin, Houston, Kansas City, St Louis, Cleveland, Columbus and Pittsburgh.
Prior to joining Pandora Mr. Long was EVP Sales for Dial Global Radio Networks from 2008-2013 driving revenue growth leading teams in Dallas, Chicago and LA, with a focus on large National partnerships. Before joining Dial Global Mr. Long worked in sales leadership roles in local radio both in Kansas City and Dallas from 1996-2008. In 2004 he was a part of launching the first JACK-FM brand in the United States for CBS Radio in Dallas.
Mr. Long is a 1990 graduate of the University of Missouri with BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. He is married with 3 children and lives in Plano, Texas.
Jeffrey Tepper
Business Development, Gemini XIII
Jeffrey Tepper is Co-Founder and Business Development Officer of Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industries’ home for premium audio content, production and marketing services. Prior to forming Gemini, Mr. Tepper was a strategic advisor to and senior financial professional of Cadence13 (www.Cadence13.com) a leading creator, distributor and marketer of podcasts and digital audio products. Headquartered in New York and Los Angeles, the company was sold to Audacy Inc. in the fall of 2019.
Prior to working with Cadence13, Mr. Tepper served in a variety of senior management and operating roles at the investment bank Gleacher & Company. Mr. Tepper was Head of Investment Banking and a member of the Management Committee. Mr. Tepper was also a co-founder of Gleacher Asset Management and served as President. Gleacher managed in excess of $1 billion of institutional capital in the mezzanine and fund of hedge fund areas. Mr. Tepper served on the Investment Committees of Gleacher Mezzanine and Gleacher Fund Advisors. Mr.Tepper began his career as a financial analyst in the mergers & acquisitions and merchant banking departments of Morgan Stanley & Co.
Mr. Tepper serves on the Boards and is Chair of Audit Committees of Centennial Resource Development (NASDAQ: CDEV) and Decarbonization Plus Acquisition Corporation IV (NASDAQ: DCRD).
Mr. Tepper received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with concentrations in finance and accounting. He resides in New York City with his wife and has three children.
Erica Farmer
Vice President, Strategic Marketing, Gemini XIII
Erica Farmer is Vice President, Strategic Marketing at Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industry’s home for premium audio content, production and marketing services.
Prior to working at Gemini XIII, Erica served as Marketing Director for Westwood One, the national facing arm of Cumulus Media, an audio-first media company featuring over 400 owned-and-operated radio stations across 86 markets, nationally-syndicated programming including the NFL, NCAA, the Masters, the AP, the ACM Awards, and home to one of the largest podcast networks in the space, the Cumulus Podcast Network(formerly Westwood One Podcast Network). While at the company, Erica focused her efforts on the growth of their robust slate of premium podcast content, including several award-winning shows. She was a key component in driving audience growth, and spearheading digital marketing initiatives, industry relationships and event builds.
Prior to Cumulus, Erica worked at Townsquare Media, a community-focused digital media, digital marketing solutions and radio company with a portfolio of 300+ terrestrial radio stations with corresponding local news and entertainment websites and apps. She played a critical part in building out the company’s Live Events vertical in 2014, serving as corporate Producer for all events in Townsquare’s East Coast and Midwest markets, building large-scale Music Festivals and Lifestyle Events from concept to completion.
Before working in audio and music, Erica started her career at World Wrestling Entertainment as an Associate Producer for both International and Domestic Television programming, working on shows like WWE Raw, WWE Smackdown and much more of the company’s world-class content. Erica also led the production, operations, and execution of WWE’s first ever exclusive partnership deal with Hulu in 2012 . During her tenure at WWE, Erica created content for live air on USA Network, SyFy Network, FOX Sports1 and International networks around the world, like UK-based sports conglomerate SkySports, and Fuji TV in Japan. Erica is also credited for creating several bespoke story-mode pieces programmed into WWE2k Video Games.
Erica holds a BA from The Pennsylvania State University and currently resides in New York City.
Jim Thompson
Vice President of Podcast Sales, Gemini XIII
Jim Thompson is Vice President of Sales for Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industries’ home for premium audio content, production and marketing services.
Prior to joining Gemini XIII, Thompson helped lead sales partnership efforts at The Athletic, one of the leading sports media publications, where he was responsible for multichannel revenue growth – which included their podcast network, digital display and newsletters.
Before he was with The Athletic, Thompson was with Cadence13, a leading creator, distributor, and marketer or podcasts and digital audio product. He specialized in direct response advertising campaigns, as well as large-scale brand activations.
Thompson began his career in 2011 as an Account Executive with WOR Radio (AM 710) in New York City. In 2013 he joined Salem Media as an Account Executive, eventually becoming Sales Manager overseeing revenue growth for Salem’s two New York radio stations – AM 970 The Answer (WNYM), and AM 570 The Mission (WMCA). Thompson also spent two years with ESPN New York 98.7 FM, where he sold advertising campaigns for ESPN New York’s sports talk programs, as well as play-by-play sponsorships for the New York Jets, New York Knicks, and New York Rangers.
Rob Rutherford
Vice President of Video Sales, Gemini XIII
Rob Rutherford is Vice President of Video Sales for Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industry’s home for premium audio content, production and marketing services.
Prior to joining Gemini XIII, Rob was a Director across the digital platforms with Sirius XM Media. Rob helped launch the sales effort in the streaming audio space with Pandora, then worked in the podcasting space on the Stitcher platform. Working with Regional and National brands – growing partnerships by meeting their key performance goals.
Before his time in the digital space, Rob spent 15+ years in various sales roles with Cumulus, Cox, CBS Radio and iHeart Media. Building relationships and delivering results as a Local and National Sales Manager.
As digital audio continues to evolve, video grows as an added solution. From platform specific video opportunities to You Tube extensions – Rob brings his experience to introduce our newest product with Short Form Video.
Jaclyn Mifka
Director of Ad Operations & Planning, Gemini XIII
Jaclyn Mifka is Director of Ad Operations & Planning of Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industries’ home for premium audio content, production and marketing services.
Previously, Jaclyn spent 10 years working for ESPN Audio, where she started her career in Traffic then later transitioned into a Senior Digital and Audio Sales Planner role. She was responsible for building, pricing and clearing inventory for all radio and digital plans for the ESPN Audio Network. Jaclyn was able to build a rapport with all of the Account Executives across the country as well as work hand-in-hand with various departments including Marketing, Traffic and Production.
Jaclyn started her career at ESPN as a Traffic Coordinator, where she managed all of the copy entry for play-by-play and talk for both ESPN and ESPN Deportes. While assisting with the scheduling and placement of the audio commercials, Jaclyn worked her way up the ladder in the Traffic Department as a Traffic Associate Manager.
Jaclyn started her career working for Westwood One immediately, just two weeks after graduating. It was through Dial Global/Westwood One that Jaclyn made the initial connection with Spencer Brown and Charles Steinhauer. She brings a diverse background of Sales Planning and Ad Operations for both digital and terrestrial radio.
A decorated collegiate student-athlete, Jaclyn played two Division I sports at Manhattan College all four years. Jaclyn was inducted into her high school Hall of Fame and she was also nominated for the Manhattan College Jaspers Hall of Fame for both Women’s Volleyball and Softball. She resides in New Jersey with her husband Michael and daughter Joelle.
Tammy Halcomb
Vice President, Product Development, Gemini XIII
Tammy Halcomb is Vice President of Product Development for Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industry’s home for premium audio content, production and marketing services.
Prior to Gemini XIII, Tammy has created, managed and launched numerous software solutions used within the media industry today. While working for WideOrbit, a software provider of Ad Tech solutions, servicing more than 90% of the Television, Radio, and Network industry, Tammy was Director of Product Engagement working with industry leaders to automate and streamline the advertising buy and sales processes. Tammy has worked with media clients, such as, Tegna, CBS, Fox, Hearst, Gray and Audacy in building ad solutions that programmatically streamline their day-to-day ad sales business. She’s led design and launch efforts with the latest Marketplace product suites, which electronically transact business between digital agencies and broadcast tv and radio stations. Tammy has also overseen and managed numerous successful product launches with Direct Response and Audience Delivery products that are instrumental in conducting business today.
Prior to her work with WideOrbit, Tammy was Director of Product Management for Marketron Broadcast Solutions, managing multiple integrations projects. She oversaw and launched products such as Electronic Invoicing, Network Connect, Proof of Performance and TvScan, all products that have been successful in the media space and ones that are still used today.
Tammy has over 20 years in the Media Software space as well as working in roles at stations and agencies prior to software. She comes with a vast knowledge of the media industry and how software can make the difference in a client’s day-to-day business operation.
Tammy holds a BA from the University of Alabama and is an active alumnus of the University. She resides in Birmingham, Alabama.
Scott Meyers
Vice President of Entertainment & Special Projects, Gemini XIII
Scott Meyers is Vice President of Entertainment & Special Projects, at Gemini XIII, the podcasting and radio industry’s home for premium audio content, production, and marketing services.
Before joining Gemini XIII, Mr. Meyers served as Executive Vice President at The TeshMedia Group and Executive Producer of The John Tesh Radio Show. During his tenure at The TeshMedia Group, Mr. Meyers was responsible for the national & international syndication of their Teshmedia programming portfolio. This included both long-form and short-form, to over 400 affiliate radio outlets across the globe, with a monthly audience of over 40 million people. In addition to radio syndication, Mr. Meyers’ responsibilities encompassed Television Syndication for the Intelligence For Your Life nationally syndicated television program, live events, and concert tour management.
Before joining The TeshMedia Group, Mr. Meyers worked in the music industry, doing record promotion for Island Def Jam, Mercury Records, and indie record labels: Pure Records, and Eagle Eye Records.
Mr. Meyers is featured in numerous books on the subject of radio syndication, including “Go Syndicate Yourself: From Local to National – Six Steps and Countless Secrets to Radio Syndication” by Randy “R-Dub!” Williams (2020), as well as in both of John Tesh’s books, “Intelligence For Your Life” (2008), and “Relentless: Unleashing a Life of Purpose, Grit, and Faith” (2020).
Mr. Meyers is also a co-owner and partner in the radio station, “Star 94.3” Kauai, HI – Kauai Broadcast Partners.
Mr. Meyers holds a BS in Business/Entrepreneurship from the University of Southern California, an MBA from Adelphi University, and a post-graduate certificate in Entertainment Marketing from New York University.
Lou Pellegrino
Head of Production, Gemini XIII
Lou Pellegrino is Head of Production for Gemini XIII.
Before joining Gemini XIII, he was Executive Producer in charge of Content Development and Special Projects at Westwood One where he contributed to the launch of several high-profile podcasts including The Prof G Pod with Scott Galloway.
Lou started his career in podcasting as an Executive Producer and Audio Editor for Cadence 13 where he produced and helped launch, The Woj Pod, The Vertical Podcast with JJ Redick, The Sports Reporters, Sports Illustrated’s Open Floor and others.
Before getting into the podcast game, he was an Executive Producer for radio and television. He spent 8 years at SiriusXM where, for 6 of those years, he worked as Executive Producer of “The Scott Ferrall Show” on Howard Stern’s Howard 101 channel. He also has worked for DirecTV and “The Dan Patrick Show”, filling in as Executive Producer and guest booker when Dan Patrick and the Danettes were on vacation and was a producer for DirecTV’s fantasy football show, “The Fantasy Zone”.
Lou has also worked for MLB Advanced Media where he was talent booker for the digital show, “Chatting Cage” and he also worked for the NHL as Executive Producer for Commissioner Gary Bettman’s radio show, “The NHL Hour”, and as Executive Producer and talent booker for NHL Live.
Lou lives in Asbury Park, New Jersey with his wife Victoria and their two rescue dogs, Bentley and Chester.
Lexi Arancio
Marketing Coordinator, Gemini XIII
Lexi Arancio is the Marketing Coordinator at Gemini XIII.
Lexi began her audio career at Westwood One, as the Executive Assistant to the President and EVP of Marketing for Cumulus Media. In this role, she had a major hand in assisting the Corporate Marketing team on high-priority company initiatives, internal comms, press releases, graphic design and social media asset creation.
Prior to joining GXIII, Lexi led recruiting coordination at Goldsmith & Co., a financial services executive search firm, in addition to guiding various special projects for the Founder and CEO of the firm.
Lexi holds a dual BA from Lehigh University in Psychology and Public Health. With her roots in Division I collegiate Field Hockey, she spends her weekend mornings running along the boardwalk at the Jersey Shore, where she grew up and currently resides.
Brett Connaughton
Manager, Ad Operations and Sales Planning
Brett began working in the digital audio industry for Audacy (f/k/a Entercom) in 2017 after graduating from the University of Denver.
Over the course of six years he has continually worked to master every aspect of the ad operations pipeline, from campaign management to attribution to traffic and beyond. Starting off as a Traffic Coordinator for digital audio and display campaigns, Brett worked his way into multiple management roles in both Account Services as well as managing the Audacy Digital Audio Network, where he helped develop and deploy multiple products and packages to aid in sales efforts. Brett loves to be the “can-do” guy that his team can rely on to get any task over the finish line, whilst also being a reliable and professional point of contact for all Gemini XIII’s agency partners.
When he’s not trafficking audio, managing campaigns, or relaying copy, you can find Brett on the nearest ice rink in Seattle playing a pick up hockey game.
